Canadian F1 GP

Qualifying had been completed with Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull) on Pole and Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) in Grid Poistion #2.

The stats say that Pole position has won 10 from the last 24 GP's which is 41.6% or odds of about 2.20. Vettel is 1.94 on Betfair so this does not represent any value.

Podium finish from Pole is 14 from 24 58.3% or odds of 1.73 and again Vettel is under the odds at 1.32.

So I won't be doing anything with Vettel, and that leaves us with Lewis Hamilton on Grid #2.

Grid #2 has won 5 of 24 GP's here @ 20.8% or odds of 5.0 and a Podium finish 12 of 24 @ 50% or odds of 2.0.

Hamilton's odds of 7.6 (win) and 2.76 (podium) gives us some value.

Another stat in Hamilton's favour is that he is a 3 time winner in Canada and Mercedes has won 5 of the past 7 GP's.

Therefore Lewis Hamilton is my selection for $100

BACK Hamilton to WIN 25 @ 7.6
and
BACK Hamilton for PODIUM FINISH 75 @ 2.76

edit post - Hamilton 3rd, profit $107

  • 14 Podium finishes from Grid #1 58.3%
  • 12 Podium finishes from Grid #2 50.0%
  • 26 Podium finishes from Grid #1 & #2 54.2%

Monaco F1 GP

Qualifying has been completed and we have our top 3

Pos No Driver Team Q1 Q2 Q3 Laps
1 9 Nico Rosberg Mercedes 01:24.6 01:16.1 01:13.9 31
2 10 Lewis Hamilton Mercedes 01:23.8 01:16.3 01:14.0 31
3 1 Sebastian Vettel Red Bull Racing-Renault 01:24.2 01:16.0 01:14.0 29

Current Points Table

As of: Spanish Grand Prix +/- Points Behind Wins
1  Sebastian Vettel - Red Bull 89 2
2  Kimi Raikkonen - Lotus 85 4 1
3  Fernando Alonso - Ferrari 1 72 17 2
4  Lewis Hamilton - Mercedes -1 50 39 0
5  Felipe Massa - Ferrari 1 45 44 0
6  Mark Webber - Red Bull -1 42 47 0
7  Romain Grosjean - Lotus 26 63 0
8  Paul di Resta - Force India 26 63 0
9  Nico Rosberg - Mercedes 22 67 0
10  Jenson Button - McLaren 17 72 0

As previously written, 8 of the past 9 winners of the Monaco GP have come from POLE POSITION, based on stats this give us NICO ROSBERG as our winner.

But looking at current standings we have Rosberg's in 9th place on 22 pts, and his Mercedes team mate Lewis Hamilton on position #2 on the grid and in 4th place on 50pts on the current F1 points table.

Although Rosberg is on Pole, will we see team orders for Hamilton to take the lead and go on to win, giving him valuable points to keep in touch with Vettel and Raikkonen.

With the top 3 grid position winning 27 of the last 30 Monaco GP's inc the last 16 straight.

Based on this, my tip is LEWIS HAMILTON.

But for betting I will Dutch bet ROSBERG, HAMILTON and VETTEL having Rosberg as a break even saver.

For $100 bet

$41 @ 2.46 on Rosberg profit $0.86
$30 @ 4.70 on Hamilton profit $41.28
$29 @ 5.00 on Vettel profit $45.53

Good Luck
